A Ciência no IPS

We consider that access to Higher Education is a guarantee of equity and equal opportunities, as fundamental values of the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic, with a view to deepening our democracy and building a fairer and more cohesive society. In this context, a profound change in the composition and diversity of the student population is expected, which poses a set of challenges to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), for which there are not always effective responses, namely in terms of support mechanisms for the most vulnerable students. In addition to displaced students, working students and those in situations of economic need, there is now a growing demand from students with Specific Educational Needs.
