Célia Cristina Casaca Soares completed her PhD in Social Psychology in 2008 and her Master's degree in Social and Organizational Psychology in 2001, both at ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. She concluded her BSc Hon in Psychology in 1997 at Faculdade Psicologia e de Ciências da Educação. She is an Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, School of Health, Member of the ESS/IPS Technical-Scientific Council, Vice-President of the ESS/IPS Council of Representatives, Coordinator of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities of the ESS/ IPS and Member of the Research Core Group of the Consortium of Institutes of Higher Education in Health and Rehabilitation in Europe (COHEHRE). She has published 6 articles in specialized journals, 10 book chapters and 3 books. She has 1 registered patent, organized 8 events and participated in 25 events. She has supervised 5 master's theses and co-supervised 2. Received 2 awards and/or honors. Participates and/or has participated as a researcher in 10 projects and as a lead researcher in 7 projects.
